ATKV-Crescendo recording artist Lucia Poggenpoel presents her track 'As jy val' ('If You Fall'), which transcends music. It stands as a sincere prayer, an exploration of emotions following personal trauma, and a subtle testament to hope.

After five months of silence and introspection, Lucia now releases a track that strikes the heart with its simplicity, honesty and powerful message: “If you fall, if you fall, you have to rise again.”

The song, written at the end of November 2024, is the direct result of a time of stillness, loss, and spiritual refocusing – a song born out of pain but captured in faith. 'I wrote it in the Bushveld when it felt like I had stumbled through life,” Lucia shares. “Sometimes so many things happen in your life that it knocks the wind out of your sails, and the tragic loss of my brother in 2021 was the final blow. He loved music so much, and I felt like I had to continue to sing at our house just as he liked it,” says Lucia.

'When healing started to come, I knew that this time it will be with God on my side. He truly lifted me up after I felt like I had fallen. The setback was real, but I know that God is a God of second chances. 'As jy val' is my testimony.”

'As jy val' was produced by Graaff Productions.
