Salvador Mouers

2025 finalist and recording artist

MORE ABOUT SALVADOR

Salvador Mouers, a vibrant 31-year-old from the quaint town of Narraville in the picturesque Walvis Bay, fondly remembers singing his very first song in preschool, a beautiful memory that set the stage for his lifelong love affair with music. Since that tender age, music has been not just an interest, but the very heartbeat of his existence.

In 2010, this dedicated husband and proud father of three delightful daughters was an integral part of the dynamic group Contagious Africa. Two years later, in 2012, his musical journey took an exciting turn when he joined forces with the hip-hop group Brazse van die mic. It was in 2014 that Salvador made the bold decision to pave his own path, venturing solo and releasing his groundbreaking debut album, Everything. This album did not go unnoticed and earned him prestigious nominations at the Namibia Annual Music Awards for both Best R&B Album and Best Newcomer.

Despite these accolades, Salvador openly admits that over the past two years, music was an echo in the background of his life as it took a back seat to other priorities. Initially hesitant, he found new conviction and excitement through the transformative ATKV mentorship programme.

"When I got there, it was like going home, surrounded by my people. It rekindled my dreams and reignited the passion within me", he passionately reflects. Being selected as a recording artist is not just a chance; it is a monumental leap forward in his career. "Now I can focus fully on my music," he says.

In September, he is set to join the last Crescendo workshop alongside three other participants from the 2025 mentorship programme. Together, they will prepare for Crescendo GOLD, a launch concert on 4 October designed to unveil the 2026 recording artists to the public.
