Tamryn Paulse, a pastor, singer and songwriter from Paarl, remembers when she first apprehended her calling in 2009 when she began leading her church's music ministry at sixteen. Even then, she aspired to impact people through music. She completed her BA in Theology in 2017 and became a co-host and content creator for Radio KC 107.7 FM’s breakfast show the following year.

Since 2022, this mother of three has served as a pastor in the AFM Church. She began writing original music in 2016: “I envision my music as a sanctuary for people – an invitation to pause, listen and be moved.” Chosen as one of ATKV-Crescendo’s recording artists for 2026, she believes she can bring together her passions, her family, her faith and her art, to fully pursue her calling. “I am excited to begin this journey with ATKV-Crescendo. It is an opportunity to share my music with a broader audience, and I hope my lyrics will articulate the struggles and emotions people often find difficult to express.”

This September, Tamryn will join the other 2026 recording artists for a concluding workshop, which will culminate in Crescendo GOLD, a debut concert where they will perform together for the first time on stage.
